Built on Service.
Driven by Honour.
He protected millions of lives on the front lines. Now he is protecting the health of millions of families — one spice packet at a time.
Our founder spent over two decades in the Indian Army, most of it as a Paratrooper — one of the most demanding roles in military service. The Parachute Regiment demands absolute physical and mental precision. No half-measures. No compromises.
When he retired, he came back to civilian life and found something disturbing: the spices in Indian kitchens — the foundation of our cuisine, our culture, our health — were being adulterated on a massive scale.
Studies showed that 30-40% of packaged spices in India contained adulterants — sawdust, artificial colouring, starch, brick powder. Families had no way to know what they were really cooking with.
He could not stand by. He launched Sainik Masale from Pune, bringing the only framework he knew for this kind of work: military discipline, absolute standards, and a refusal to compromise.
“I wore this uniform for 23 years because I believed in protecting people. This is the same work. Different battlefield.”
The battle did not end when the war did.
The Founder fought in the Kargil War. Even after the war ended, the situation along the border remained tense, and daily search operations continued.
There was more to endure than the uncertainty of the enemy. Soldiers were responsible not only for defending against and fighting the enemy, but also for standing against the extremely harsh weather and climatic conditions of Jammu & Kashmir.
That kind of responsibility leaves behind a quiet understanding of resilience: showing up, staying precise, and carrying the work forward when conditions are difficult.
The uniform changed. The standard did not.
