The Process

Precision Engineering for Pure Spices.

Our 7-stage manufacturing process is built on one principle borrowed from military operations: never accept a standard lower than the mission demands.

Inside the process

Every stage is designed around precision, consistency, and the uncompromising standards behind every Sainik Masale packet.

Carefully selected whole spices

02GRIND

Precision grinding and processing

03BLEND

Consistent flavour and quality

01

Ingredient Selection

Only the best makes the cut.

We source our whole spices exclusively from farmer cooperatives and trusted growers across India's finest spice-producing regions. Every batch begins with physical inspection — colour, aroma, moisture content and visual cleanliness are all assessed before acceptance. Substandard material is rejected, no exceptions.

Turmeric from Erode, red chillies from Guntur and Byadgi, coriander from Rajasthan, whole spices for our blends from Kerala and Uttarakhand.

02

Triple Wash & Cleaning

Clean before it is ground.

All incoming whole spices undergo a rigorous three-stage cleaning process: first a dry-sieving to remove dust and foreign material, then a water wash to remove surface contaminants, and finally a UV-treatment pass to eliminate any microbial load on the surface.

Our facility's cleaning line runs every batch through automated optical sorting to reject discoloured or damaged spice pieces at a rate of 99.8% accuracy.

03

Lab Testing

Proven before it is processed.

Before any spice is ground, a representative sample from every incoming batch is sent to our in-house QC lab and an independent NABL-accredited lab. Tests include adulteration screening, pesticide residue analysis, heavy metal testing and microbial counts. Batches that do not pass are quarantined and returned.

We test for over 40 parameters across each spice category. Our zero-tolerance policy means no compromises even on marginal failures.

04

Low-Heat Stone Grinding

Preserving what nature intended.

We use low-speed stone grinding technology that keeps temperatures below 40°C during the entire grinding process. Conventional high-speed commercial grinding generates heat that destroys the volatile essential oils and natural aromas that define a spice's quality. Our cold-process method preserves 100% of these natural compounds.

This is the most critical differentiator — it is why our spices smell and taste dramatically different from mass-market brands.

05

Final Quality Testing

Tested again after processing.

Every ground spice batch is tested again after grinding and before packaging. Parameters include moisture content, particle size uniformity, colouring strength and absence of adulterants. Only batches that pass post-grinding QC are cleared for packaging.

We maintain batch traceability records for every lot, allowing us to trace any product back to its source farm if needed.

06

Hygienic Packaging

Sealed to protect, not just to present.

Our packaging facility is a positive-pressure, temperature-controlled, dust-free environment. Spices are packed in nitrogen-flushed pouches to remove oxygen and prevent oxidation. All packaging workers wear full PPE. Our packing line is cleaned and sanitised at the start and end of every shift.

Packaging materials are food-grade, BPA-free and tested for migration of harmful substances.

07

Distribution

Fresh to your doorstep.

Finished goods are stored in a climate-controlled warehouse and dispatched on a first-in, first-out basis to maintain freshness. We work only with logistics partners who meet our cold-chain and handling standards.

All outgoing shipments are inspected before dispatch. Damaged packaging is never dispatched.

“We built this process the way I was trained to build a mission plan — with zero margin for error and absolute accountability at every step.”
